Terms of Service
The terms, in plain language.
Last updated July 2026. By using this site, creating an account, or purchasing membership or a package, you're agreeing to what's below.
What The Line Between is
The Line Between is an independent mental health resource site — reflections, tools, guided workbooks, printables, and a place to write what's hard to say out loud. It's built and run by one person, not a large organization.
What it isn't
This site does not provide medical advice, therapy, diagnosis, or crisis intervention. Nothing here is a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you're in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988, available 24/7) or your local emergency number — not this site.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up. One account per person is expected, though a team, school, or practice package is intended to be used by the many people it covers — that's a feature of those plans, not an account-sharing workaround for an individual membership.
Free content and membership
Everything on the site is free to browse. Membership, and the team, dance, school, and mental health professional packages, add full access to the workbook and printable library, billed monthly, cancel any time from your account's billing portal. A one-time library purchase gets you a snapshot of what's available at the time of purchase — not ongoing access to material added later, which is what an ongoing membership is for.
Refunds
If something goes wrong with a purchase — a duplicate charge, a technical issue, a package that clearly wasn't what was described — email us and we'll make it right. We handle refund requests individually rather than through a rigid policy, because that's more honest than pretending one size fits every situation.
Using the workbooks and printables
An individual membership licenses the workbooks and printables for your own personal use. The team, dance, school, and mental health professional packages include an explicit license to print and use the material with the group that package covers — your roster, your students, your clients — as described on the membership page. None of the plans include a license to resell, redistribute, or publish this material as your own elsewhere.
Your content
Letters, journal entries, saved resources, board posts, and anything else you write here remain yours. By submitting a letter as “anonymous-share,” you're giving us permission to publish it on the public wall, without your name, after review. You can ask us to remove anything you've submitted at any time.
Acceptable use
Be a decent person here. Don't use the public board or the letters flow to harass, threaten, or target anyone. Don't attempt to scrape, redistribute, or resell paid content. Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site. We can remove content or suspend access for accounts that don't follow this.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. We work carefully on the accuracy and care behind what we publish, but we can't guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to your specific situation — mental health is genuinely individual, and no website is a complete answer to it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, The Line Between isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. This doesn't limit anything that can't legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. If a change is significant, we'll update the date at the top of this page and try to flag it somewhere you'll actually see it, not just bury it here.
