Five-Minute Breathing Reset
For when your body is running faster than your mind can keep up with.
- 1Sit or lie down somewhere you won't be interrupted for five minutes, if you can.
- 2Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of 4.
- 3Hold for a count of 4.
- 4Breathe out slowly through your mouth for a count of 6 — longer than the inhale.
- 5Hold for a count of 2, then repeat the full cycle for five minutes.
- 6If your mind wanders, that's normal. Just come back to the count.
